Way back in 2002, 5 Alarm Music was just a wee lad born from the minds of Cassie Lord and Maddie Madsen. Maddie is a rare breed – a shredding musician/songwriter who is responsible enough to hold a job……and even start a company!! That’s about as common as a living breathing Dodo bird.

I’m the Co-Executive Producer for the 5 Alarm Music library. This song will always have a special meaning to me because of it’s ability to transport me back to the beginning, when there were only 4 of us and also the relevance of it’s message as a song.

Linda Martinez was one of the most brilliant musicians I have ever had the honor of working with. I remember sitting in the studio watching the live players performing her score for this composition after she had passed away and getting chills. The world is not the same without her.

Anyone who really knows me knows I’m a rocker at heart. I’ve played in 2 Progressive Metal bands in my former life. I love this band and the lyrics really speak to me.

I grew up playing and listening to Classical music and this is one of my all time favorites. I even saw Mahler’s Fifth Symphony performed in London by the LSO. What a treat!
