The Druts in Friday Night Lights

While we’re on the brag-reel kick (see Tuesday’s post), we thought we’d show off another one of our favorite placements. This one is from Friday Night Lights: Season 1, episode 13 called “Little Girl, I Want to Marry You.”
The Druts‘ song “Platinum” rocks out loud and clear as Riggins brings it home for a Panther TD.

The LA Times reported yesterday that this season NBC is breaking ground with a multi-faceted distribution of Friday Night Lights, which includes special commercial free broadcast of the 3rd season starting this week on Direct TV, and then airing the episodes in primetime on the flagship NBC network in early 2009. I would also assume/hope that the network would provide full episodes of the show to Hulu.com, like it did for Seasons 1 and 2.

There are 3 Rescue Records artists placed in the upcoming episode #302 of Friday Night Lights– The New Hotness, Forrest Lee Jr. and Alan Reid!
Also, our Rescue Records artists are heavily featured in Seasons 1 & 2 which you can now get on DVD.
