Christian Salyer Blazes A New Trail

Christian Salyer (also known as Cadence Blaze) is bringing song oriented music to the production music world in a big way.  He’s the mastermind behind the beloved Blazed Out Music library and is featured in the Fall edition of SESAC Magazine.

Christian has earned a rep for having his finger on the pulse of current music trends so it’s no surprise that Blazed Out has been placed in popular network shows including Entourage, The Simpsons, The Office, Ugly Betty, Gossip Girl, Desperate Housewives, Oprah and Dancing With The Stars among many others.  His statement “The only way to survive is by creating quality” proves to be working!

5 Alarm on NBC!

It’s that time of year….Lights, Snow, Christmas Music, Holiday Parties….AND Holiday episodes of all your favorite shows.  NBC Thursday nights are the place to be with The Office, 30 Rock and Parks and Recreation.  They called on us at 5 Alarm to record a Holiday Promo for their Thursday lineup and we knocked in out in a couple hours! So don’t forget, we don’t just have pre-recorded library music and indie bands, we are fully loaded with musicians ready on a moments notice to produce and record custom jobs as well!

Music Supervisors Recognized in First Annual Hollywood Music in Media Awards!

Our company’s mission statement says that there is no greater way to stir emotion than through music.  Music Supervisors can make or break a film, television show, or commercial depending on how well they understand this principle.  The Hollywood Music in Media Awards last night recognized the best Music Supervisors in the business.  Maureen Crowe, an icon in the supervision industry and the founder of the Guild of Music Supervisors, spearheaded the event.

There was a time when you went to the butcher shop for meat, the bakery for bread and the general store for everything else.  Those were simple times!  These days you go to one place and have a myriad of different choices for whatever you could possibly need.  Finding music is a lot like doing your grocery shopping.  There are large music libraries have have over 200 CD’s spanning all genres and then there are smaller boutique libraries with a smaller specialized catalog.
