Rock and roll defined by dictionary.com –
rock and roll
noun
A genre of popular music originating in the 1950’s; a blend of black rhythm and blues with white country and western
Some say that famed radio DJ Alan Freed first coined the term “rock n’ roll” back in the 1950’s. Others say that the term existed in slang and was present in popular song as early as the 1920’s. A lot of evolution has happened in the genre since its humble beginnings. What was once deemed “inappropriate” (like Elvis’s pelvic twists) are now laughable by today’s standards (Ozzy Osbourne’s run in with a bat). The first two new releases represent all that is great in modern rock n’ roll. As the saying goes, “We’ve come a long way, baby!”
Our third new release paints the perfect backdrop for any documentary. Dynamic and moody, simple and reflective, suspense and mystery….these tracks are great mood makers that capture the emotions of any scene.
